Hello! What started out as dropping items off at Goodwill and handing the workers some freeze pops I had in my freezer, has turned into something I have started to do each weekend in these hot Charlotte summer days. Last weekend I stopped at the Archdale Drive train station with a bag in one hand, scissors in the other. I didn’t know if people would be receptive to taking a freeze pop from a stranger. Receptive? Yes! And thankful, grateful and more. The next day I handed out 96 freeze pops to those near the Homeless Resource Center on North College Street and several people on North Tryon Street. Such a small gesture went such a long, long way!
